Mohanlal starrer Marakkar has decided to release the Arabian Sea Lion in ODT. announcement will be made soon. The movie will reach the audience through Amazon Prime. 'When Marakkar started thinking about cinema and finally finished it, he only thought of a theatrical release. That's what I was waiting for. I 'm worried about what to do now.'- Producer Antony Perumbavoor said after receiving the National Award for Best Picture yesterday.
However, the lack of understanding about the number of release theaters prompted the producer to give the film to ODT. Despite pressure from several organizations for a theatrical release, the line-up eventually decided to give the woodwork to Amazon.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Iowa's big budget film was made in two years at a cost of around Rs 100 crore. The film, which was scheduled to release on March 26, 2020, was postponed due to Kovid.Later several release dates were announced but for various other reasons that did not happen.
